The Sea of Arsuz: Jewel of the Eastern Mediterranean

Arsuz is a unique coastal town on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean, where the Amanos Mountains meet the sea. Visitors are enchanted by turquoise crystal-clear waters and golden sandy beaches.

Colors of the Sea

The Arsuz sea takes on different colors depending on the season and the angle of the sun — silver blue at dawn, turquoise at noon, and a magnificent palette from gold to purple at sunset. In summer, the clarity of the water allows you to see the seabed even from the shore.

Marine Life

The rich marine ecosystem of the Eastern Mediterranean reveals itself along the Arsuz coast:

  • Sea Bass & Sea Bream: Delicious fish naturally thriving in Arsuz's clear waters
  • Swordfish: The king of swimmers found in open waters
  • Sea Turtles: Loggerhead and green sea turtles are occasionally spotted on the shores

Water Sports & Activities

  • Snorkeling in shallow waters
  • Scuba diving in deeper zones
  • Kayaking and SUP on calm waters
  • Sailing in ideal wind conditions

Sunset Views

The most magical moment is sunset — the sky is painted in orange, pink, and purple as the sun sets over the Mediterranean.

Water Quality

Arsuz beaches have some of Turkey's cleanest sea water. Summer water temperatures range from 24-28°C, with swimming season lasting from May to October.
